Since 1999, the Electro-Optics Center (EOC) has proudly served as the Office of Naval Research's (ONR) Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) Center of Excellence for Electro-Optics. The EOC's goal is to reduce acquisition costs, operational costs and life-cycle costs while simultaneously improving mission capability of electro-optic military hardware. Since its inception, the EOC and its partner members of its Electro-Optics Alliance (EOA) have completed over 60 Manufacturing Technology projects with savings in excess of $1 billion to the taxpayer. The EOA is a collaborative network of US based industrial, academic and government organizations that forms a critical link between R&D and the commercialization required to advance DoD critical electro-optics manufacturing S&T. The EOC is committed to advancing the commercial viability of EO technologies enabling transition of technology to industry and therefore to the Warfighter, ultimately maintaining US preeminence in all areas of EO.
