Call for Presentation Abstracts

You are invited to submit an abstract for the technical sessions at the 2012 DMSMS & Standardization Conference, which has the theme of "Agility, Affordability and Efficiency under Uncertainty: Proactively Manage Risk with Discipline." Submitted abstracts should enhance the discussion of the various initiatives and technology supporting the modern warfighter as well as programmatic and logistics approaches. The general rules for submitting abstracts are listed on the General Rules page.

DMSMS is defined as the loss or impending loss of manufacturers of items or suppliers of items or raw materials. Obsolescence refers to a lack of availability due to statutory and process changes, as well as new designs. DMSMS and Obsolescence adversely affect Total Life Cycle Management (TLCM). Proactive planning, process implementation, monitoring, analysis, and budgeting are all necessary to mitigate the impacts of DMSMS and obsolescence to reduce TLCM costs.
